hey might be thinking the 98/ LT1 60 trans......i had a 00 fbody trans i ran short time. the converter was a PI converter for the LS1s

i know for the pinks car it used the old style 60 which used a 700r4 style converter. which was a 98 based trans

There is not a difference in the fbody vs truck tranys, it's a difference in the years. The one on the left is an older one and the right is a newer one. I don't know where the switching point is, but that is the diff.

Quik is accurate. It does depend on year. I don't know when that year difference ended though. When did the truck & fbody models become the same? If shakin (or ANYONE else) doesn't know that, you can't just assume. Hence, the reason boards like this exist. My bad for not mentioning the uncertainty of year differences. I can't remember everything.

As long as the shaft on the trans your getting looks like the shaft on the right of the pic I posted (from MY first build), odds are you have the correct pump, input shaft/drum, and bellhousing. I'd verify the pump casting to be sure. I've bought a trans from someone before (without seeing it in person), and was told it would work (but I got what you see in the pic I posted). Bottom line is, VERIFY what your getting is what you're supposed to be getting.

Good luck!

Thats what I was thinking after what quick and 1 bad said. So if thats the case I need to find out if the 97 TC will bolt up to a LM7 flexplate or if I can find a 97 flywheel that will bolt up to my motor.
