Default will a 97 model 4L80E fit my 2002?

I wanted to know if a 97 model 4L80E will bolt up and work on my 02 RCSB with a 2003 6.0?

Yes

The LSX bolt pattern didn't show up until 99' i believe, but the earlier models will fit. You'll have to leave out the top bellhousing bolt, since it's not there on the older trans.

I put a 96 L80 behind the LS1 in my truck. Used the stock 5.3L crank, the 6.0L/L80 flexplate, crank spacer, and standard L80 converter.

Bolted up fine

Valvebody changes from what i understand, and they moved to centerlube after 96. centerlube has one cooler line closer to the middle/back of the trans. I had mine build w/ the newer valvebody.

wiring is the same, old to new 80's.

You don't need the jumper harness. There are 2 unused wires going from a 60 to an 80, use those for the input speed sensor. Move a couple at the trans, and a couple at the PCM.

You will need to have it flashed to the 80.

You have more details on the wiring part without using a jumper ?
