what are my options and costs? I'm looking to run 11.50's on motor (no cage) in a 95 or so 1/2 ton 2wd short box on a dragradial.I've ran small blocks and big blocks 454&502 but now I want to try a 6.0 on carb since I'm old school and alot better tuning a carb than I am with a computer.

Are you going to run a carb on the 6.0?

Yes you can just make sure your tv cable is properly adjusted as this will ruin a trans fast. Theres a new valve body that removes the problem but it is a touch expensive but worth it.

can you run the newer trans without electronics if you go to a manual valve body.just trying to feel my way through this,I've ran a 700r4 with mods for 3yrs with no trouble but I'm open to suggestions.

i think there is a controller for the 4L60-80's that places a throttle pos. sensor on the carb and you set the shift points. if this is going to be somethin that you dont really care for overdrive id run a TH400. i think all that it requires is a crank spacer and flexplate and d/s yoke. a buddy of mine did a TH400 swap in his WS6 and didnt have to get a new d/s but it could be diff on trucks.

You can go full manual with the 4l60e and even have vaccume pressure control so it isnt always beating you to death
