maybe I can see an improvment for losing the 28" slicks to the 26" I do not have enough gear in the truck for the 28's. I am running 15" rims so I will still have some side wall with the 26"

I had no better 60' times w/ 28" MT slicks over 26" MTDR...
I ran 0.2 and a couple mph slower w/ the 28" slicks as well...
I DID have wheel hop and occasional spinning w/ the MTDR however...THAT,the slicks DID cure...
We'll see how the 28" slicks work with the new converter this Sunday...

I just don't have the suspension setup to run a smaller drag radial. I could never hook a small drag radial up, but have no problem with this 29.5" slick. When I upgrade the suspension, I'm definately going to look into a smaller tire, but this one is doing for the time being. Trap speed in sig.

Would a 27" slick be ideal for me?? Thats what I have, but have yet to run it yet on them. I also have 4.10s and shift about 64-6500.

single cab, 4.10 gears with 3800 yank, long tubes, true duals, pullies, intake, tune and one other thing i think efan. He said he got a 1.69 out of it. on the 305 45 18 best he could get was 1.8. He has a rollpan, no spare tire and no tailgate and thing hooks up fine on the 275 40 17 drag rads. They hook up fine on the street also, just like mine do.

Im just going over this stuff dont mean to cause a stir with everyone. Then again the tbss has a lot more weight over the rear end than the trucks do and different suspension.

joshua just want to run this by you.

with 410 gears and if you shift at 6400 your top speed of 3rd will be 125 mph. If you go thru the traps at 112 lets say your rpms wil be 5750 which is still good.

i think that has alot to do with the choice of 28's. maybe ill try the 26's again after i get the caltracs and pinion angle setup right.

I tried to run some 27" et streets on my 04ecsb but did nothing but spin em...
maybe they are old maybe too stiff a shock who knows.
But i currently have a 3.73 gear ratio in tha back and i shift out of 3rd at 6400rpms....well i don't actually shift out of it thats just what i set it at...lol
1-2 and 2-3 i turn to 6700rpms.
Was thinking about borrowing Derek's 28"hoosiers to see if i can make em stick. But maybe i should be looking for a tire just as sticky but shorter?
