who has vacuum modulation
i have it done to my tranny and after a tuning session with bigkid, we discovered my tranny isn't shifting into OD. my builder told me something about unplugging one of the plugs in the pan. would that cause it to not shift into od. it never feels like it try's. i know there is supposed to be a resistor that goes in between two terminals when you go vacmod. i am just wondering if he just unplugged the circuit and called it a day.
i do realize i will have to pull the pan to see. i just hate to waste the damn fluid. plus it's a pita.

If the resistor was left out, then you would have a Pressure Control Solenoid code stored in the PCM. There are several codes that can be stored, that would inhibit 4th gear, so checking for codes would be the first thing I would do.
