Wheel bearings
My wheel bearings are on their way out on my 1999 Sierra. I'm wondering what brand you guys like - GM is way too expensive. I was thinking Moog, SKF, or Raybestos Professional.
I think the SKF will definitely be good, but the Raybestos is intriguing because it has a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty. All the others have 1 year/ 12,000 miles
What have you guys had good luck with?

Find timken brand hub bearing assembly's they cost more but last and are not made in china. Autozone in our area handles them and timken is the OE supplier for GM at a reduced cost. We refuse to use made in china crap bearings due to high failure rates. If you choose china parts better get ready to change them often. The warranty isn't worth the hassle of replacing cheap parts.

I said nothing about cheap China made bearings. Timken will probably be OK, but I want something solid. The above parts are about $50 more than Timken on Rockauto, so I doubt they are made in China. If they were, I'd send them right back. Nothing made in China would have a 3 year warranty, that wouldn't be smart. The SKF bearing looks like it would be a substantial improvement over the standard design. I suppose I will just have to go with my gut.

If Timken supplies GM, that is a huge markup they add on
01WS6/tamu, what country were your Timkens made?
Bluesman, Where was your Moog one manufactured?
I called a parts store that stocks SKF and they from Korea.
I will probably go with Timken or SKF. SKF is upgraded design - pretty cool if you check out their website.
