Whats the difference?
Thinking about maybe doin the shift kit tuesday...my dipstick says only use DEXRON VI(6) Why can't i use DEXRON III? Whats the difference?

I've put Dex3 in ever year from 99-06 with no problems, I wouldn't worry about it.

My '06 says only Dextron 6 also. The only place I could find it or even knew about it was the stealership.

the newer ATF suppose to condition it alot better. you could run older ATF but i dont think you could mix the two

why drain it all?? if he wanted to drain it all he would prolly have to take it to the dealership and have them flush it and refill it i guess...
