what year 4l80e can i get to fit the LQ9

Anything will bolt up, but the 99 up 80e's are the most desired trannys to get. From everything I understand even the Turbo 350's and 400's will bolt up to an LS engine

Been looking at a used 4l85e out of a 2002 Suburban 2500 with the 8.1. Higher mileage at 145k mi. though...
Kind of off topic, but just wondering, which ones had the straight cut gears?

Oh was it all 85e's?? Don't know how loud they whine, but not sure if that's something I want....
