Unhappy What Wrong Shift Lock-up

HELP; I had 10" 2800 stall conveter installed works great a the track and on the street most of the time. 5.3, 04 chevy silverado,4l60e trans. when i pull out smooth up shifts to 4gear then to lock-up.Anytime later will drop out of lock-up and won't lockup till it wants to 1mile,3miles 1 mins., 5 mins.50mph, 70 mph.And the only code it put out P0300? MISFIRE. sometimes no codes and works perfect.It started when went to2800 from 2300 stall. have a tune Its driving me nuts.

misfires is the problem. the new TC is lighter than the stocker equating to less rotational mass, hence lighter, which can make the idle somewhat erratic causing the ECM to interrpret this as a misfire. when the number of "detected" misfires, even though false, exceeds the threshold the ecm will not allow the TC to lock until it reaches a certain number of engine revolutions (3200 i believe).

THANKS you might be right,now can jesse[wait 4 me tune] tune that out? I like the 1.90s 60 foot's put me solidly in 13'.s. if not what can i do.

should be able to with no problem. he'll just bump up the interval time to declare a misfire.
