So basically, to make a long story short. The 4th 60e is gone
. Im done fooling around im either gonna buy a good 60e, or do a 80e swap, or try a T56. My tahoe is a 4wd, but if i went to a T56 i would just make it a 2wd, I dont even have the front driveshaft in it right now anyway. Has a T56 ever been put into a Tahoe?? would it even be worth it? Ive got a little bit of money saved up, but whatever i do i have to decide fast, cause im moving soon.

A T56 Tahoe? That's new. I think you'd be a pioneer there. I don't think they even make 5spd Tahoes so you'd definatley be on your own. The hardest part about the swap would be getting a clutch to survive with all that weight. It sounds like you're making some decent power too, considering all the 60E's you've gone through. I'd recommend a dual disk clutch, which will have terrible street manners in a 6000lb boat.

Well i wouldnt mind having another automatic, but i love a hard shift, my tranny that i just took out chirped the tires at anything above 3000rpm and i loved it. i have never felt a aftermarket companys tranny, but i hear they just shift firm, not hard..
Im hopefully going to be getting some sort of forced induction within a few months so i need something strong, but reliable.
I figured the T56 would basically be the same as the trucks, but with the frame diffrences i could be very very wrong. I once saw a 5 speed surburban at the philly auto show. but i dont know how they did it. it was like a 2004 or 2005.
