What trans / transfer case handle 2000hp/trq?
#1
Long story short, I've put together an awd turbo LS in a car and was originally only planning on around 800hp so I didnt look at what my options are for higher HP. Im well above 1k and im just breaking driveline parts with not much options for parts that would handle 1.5-2k (its also a manual and i'd like a build with auto)
Contemplating on another build this time target is 1.5khp but will build everything from the get go to handle at least 2k. Target weight will be around 2600-2900lbs. Primary use would be no prep drag but to be able to drive to and from events.
T case:
Im looking at NVG-149 or np261. Are there anything else that I should be considering that would handle the trq?
I think im leaning more on the NP261 as being able to switch between 4wd to 2wd is a nice feature.
Transmission:
built 4l80e (mainly for the overdrive), im also have been considering th400, but no OD for highway driving.
Thoughts?

261 is the manual xcase in the 2500 and 3500 trucks.
If it were me I'd look at an Atlas xcase without low range. I bet they can fix you up. I know some guys running them in heavy diesel trucks making big power/torque. They are all machine cases with gear drive. Take out low gear planetary and just have one stick for 2wd/4wd.
4l80 can be made to handle that power but th400 will be cheaper to hold it. Cost will still hurt either way.
My guys run BTE powerglides and th400s in the 2500-3000hp cars.
I think the refresh program is only $300?
