what should i do with wheels.

what wheels would work best for slicks or drag radials.
This is the deal I traded my steelies with tires for some 17 chrome after markets wheels look to be anywhere from 8.5 to 9 inch rims with tires. Should I take those and sell them and buy some tires for the oem aluminum wheels i've got now. Would I be better off with the 17's with some drag radials?
