that truck came with a 4L60e... that would be the easiest to go back with.

a built one of course. performabuilt just ran a special not long ago... and FLT is a very good builder as well.

Well right now I am trying to stay as cost effective as I can, just had a baby, and the wife doesnt work. The truck has a few issues.... Shitty brakes but I just did those...NASTY antifreeze... flushed and changed. Slight shake in the steering wheel I believe is because of the loose front right hub. $112 my cost this weekend. They kinda jerry rigged the cross member to fit the 400 so I need to get a 4l60e and a stock crossmember. But I need to know what year 4l60e will fit. I also think Im going to rebuild the rearend just so I know its nice and strong. Then LT's with new exhaust. ....

any of the 60e's should fit... they were all 60e in the 1500 light duty v8 trucks until 06 ish as far as i remember.. went to a 65e after that. pretty much all the same though.

same bolt patterns on all of them
