What is a good upgrade for brakes without a big brake kit?
#21
someone explain hydroboost to me. i cant even get my ABS to kick in now days no matter how hard i dig into the brakes. my pads are good, my rotors are within spec, and i blead my brakes. i can still get the peddle to the ground. im thinking some braided lines and hydroboost may fix me.
Atomic did a great write up on it.

HOWEVER.....
If you have a problem with your brake system now, don't expect the hydroboost to fix it. It might even make it worse until you fix the real problem.
Braided lines would be a good place to start.

I have done 3 hydroboost swaps and have had 3 other trucks that came with it from the factory. I always think it is a good upgrade.....

I plan on doing this to my truck since I am going turbo and I am also doing the z06 swap.

I just ended up hitting orielys and getting new rotors and some ceremic pads...stops 50x better now..the old rotors were already .080 under what they could turn them down to..so for now this will get me by...
