what shifter are you guy's using when swapping to a floor or console mounted shifter for the 4l80e trans? ive had to resort back to my Jakes Performance manual control box on my trans and i dont want to be column shifting it down the track. this is for my 90' 454ss truck.

B&m magnum pro stick is what I use.

 

I'm digging relocating the shifter to the console in my '00 Silverado. Have you got any shots of yours installed or some of the in-process photos of the install? I did some looking on B&M's site and see where they offer the 4L60E 4 speed accessory plate I'll need but I'd sure appreciate a heads-up and and any tips that would help me get it right the first time. Also, what did you do with the Tow/Haul mode switch on the end of the stock shifter?

I used a B&M Truck Megashifter and installed a momentary switch in the knee bolster for the T/H B & M Truck Megashifter Install on 2004 Av

After reading and researching this subject my only concern with this mod to my 2000 console is that the drink/junk tray isn't symmetrical. This makes it a little harder to mod the drink tray for the shifter to come thru and have something usable left for junk and drink holding...

Has anyone encountered this? Maybe fab a new filler piece made from plexi-glass and then add a couple marine/boat type recessed drink holders on the passenger side of the opening?

I am also interested in this... My truck use to be a 4.3 5 speed and I'm building a turbo 5.3 with an 80e. Needless to say my truck dosnt have a column shifter and don't plan to change columns .... Would like to see pics of a decent looking shifter in the floor with no console..

 

I went from 4.3L and 5 speed to an 80e. I closed the hole in the floor with some plate and put a truck mega shifter in. I think I'm going to pull the middle seat out and build something to house a shifter and some other stuff. I would like to see some pics or ideas from others. I'm subscribed.

 

i ended up going with a B&M stealth magnum grip pro stick and love it!!
