Default What is this clunk?

My 2500HD/CC/LB truck recently began experiencing a slight clunk/thud when slowly leaving from a stop. It appears to be coming from the rear of the vehicle. Ideas?

I think I've heard of this discussed on here before. Something to do with the locker posi, if you have one.

Get your slip yoke checked too! It either needs to be greased or replaced.

Check the mesh of the gears in the rear end.

My 99' had this problem and warranty took care of that. Have it replaced, the grease doesn't last.

Hmm, anyone have part numbers and/or rough guesses on cost & man hours to replace the yoke?
