Default Weird sound coming from 80e, sounds like relay clicking on/off

A few weeks ago I started hearing a "click click...click.....click click click..." and so on underneath the truck. It's not coming from the torque converter, sounds like it is coming from the pan.

It sounds like a relay clicking on and off as if it doesn't have a good contact with something. I'm not throwing any check engine codes, but in the past (before making this noise) it threw a code saying something about shift solenoid 2-3 or something like that (not 100% sure which solenoid it was)

any advice on what could be making this noise?

If its more like a buzzing sound then I would say that its probably the epc solenoid. Do you hear this same sound with just the key turned forward as you do with the truck running? If so I'm pretty confident that its the epc solenoid. Pretty normal to hear this IMO.

Ah, good idea. I haven't seen if it does it w/ just the key on- that would rule out if it is mechanical or electrical

I'll check that out tomorrow. Thanks!
