Or more appropriately, the way I understand it. As I've been mentioning countless times to you all that I wanna drop the truck some, nothing outlandish, just yanking out the blocks from the rear and a possible decrank of the torsion bars up front for approximately 1.5" drop. BUT- I've learned that if ya start dickin' with the spring and changing rates the ride goes south, so I'm actually now looking into a legit front drop, like 2". I understand that a new LCA will do it, and/ or myabe just a spindle. The way I see it with the LCA is that the Torsion Bar is indexed dofferently, so therefore the same thing could be accomplished with keyes or something I've seen that sets the hex at a different point and can be set to raise or lower the truck. Would I infact be OK with a bar decrank and possibly even get a better ride that way........................
Thanks

Index keys will give you the same effect as de-cranking on your stock keys. I was going to run Ford keys to get a little more lift out of the front of mine, pretty much the same deal you are talking about but going up not down.

Take a good read over what Inchup posted in the thread.
Honestly if you are just looking to go down an inch to 1.5 inches, I say jack her up and de-crank her five or so turns and see where it puts you. You might not even need that many turns, just make sure to do them the same amount (if you do one turn on one then you need to do one on the other). Then yank out that block in the rear, button it all back up, and drive her around to see how it feels. Remember if you like it, go get the alignment re-done. Be sure to take a good look at your shocks so you aren't bottoming them out, I wouldn't think 1-1.5 inches would do that or not?
I put five cranks on each of my torsion bars (going up), and I went from 43 inches center of the fender to the ground to 45 1/2 inches. The ride was horrible so I put it back down five turns to where it was.
Hopefully someone who has lowered there 4X4 will chime in, but what the heck go for it. You can always put it back!
