Default Watts Link 10-bolt

Would a Watts link help similarly to a panhard bar in terms of keeping the rearend located under load/stress?? I see some bagged guys running them and they look like great pieces but, would it be beneficial to set one up on a street/strip leaf spring truck?

Here's some pics so you can kinda get an idea....

I think the Watts will keep the diff. centered better than a panhard would and that KP piece is supposed to be a good one. You try PM'ing Onyx; he's got one on his truck with a Radix so he can probably tell you how good it works.

it would probably help more so than not having one, but the question is do you REALLY need one???

i think the leaf springs do plenty well untill you wear out the bushings

I wouldnt mess with it on a leaf spring truck. Have felt how stiff the spings are? IMO the diff isnt going anywhere.

A Watts link wil do nothing for you with a leaf spring set-up. It's intention is to keep the rearend centered under trucks with 2-link/ 4-link type set-ups. Some guys prefer it over a panard bar due one fact being that the rearend will shift sides when the suspension is at full lift and full drop. If a panard bar is put in right, the shift is only slight. A leafspring design doesn't have the tendency or ability to shift side to side.
