Default vortec generators

Has someone experience with vortex generators on trucks ?
Is there something available ( aftermarket) or from an airplane?
Would look cool , just like to now if its beneficial like fuel efficiencie by maybe reducing drag?

TORNADO!! lol jk, when I first read this it's the only thing that came to mind.

I remember seeing a few trucks at SEMA that had the undercarriage completely covered kinda like how the new BMW's are doing. It helps with aerodrynamics on cars for sure, but I'm not sure how well it would help the truck because of the cab. If you have access to a wind tunnel that'd be cool

I have seen evo's with something similar on their trailing egde of the roof but I don't think it would benefit the trucks....we have so much drag that i don't think it'd make any difference.

ha ha, I thought it was a joke, but seriously we have them on f-15's to force the missles away from the fuselage, and we send new guys to oil them...

but isnt the lip on the top of the tail gate is for that?

i don't think that lip is for aerodynamics at all. The older style that didn't have the "step" on the top of the tailgate, they got torn up really fast.
