Default vette servo question..

Hey guys my Silverado has about 98k miles, I recently purchased the vette servo from Oregon speed. I'm just wondering with this many miles would the servo hurt the trans? The fluid still seems pretty red, not sure if its ever been serviced, it shifts pretty good sometimes it'll gimme a kick or shift weird, or feel sluggish on take off but nothing that makes me think its gonna really give out on me.

Just looking for some advice, got a pretty good quote on it installed nearby.
