Default vette servo

Im a little uneducated when it comes to transmissions, im going to be putting in my gears tru-trac and shift kit in the next couple of weeks and ive trying to read everything i can on here to get all the info to make the right choices and whenever i read a post about shift kits it seems that the person is putting in a servo so my question is what is this and what does it do for me?

thanks in advance and heres to u

man that's a lot. i paid like 500 to have my converter installed and the shift kit installed. and i'm 4wd (takes longer to take tranny out so i hear). the servo you can do yourself. even the shift kit you can do yourself, but it might be a little challenging.

Install it all yourself!!! I was a bit scurd' at first, but once i got into it and read through everything its not that bad....

suggestion: get a 4l60e rebuild manual - good stuff there!!

oh and mine is all back together and it runs awsome....
