Default Are V6 and V8 5-spd MT's the same?

I want to put a 5-speed manual tranny behind a 5.3L. I know this is an option on new trucks but can't find a V8 manual 5-spd in online searches, just the 5 speed used behind the V6. Are they interchangeable?

Yes. You just need the GEN 3 capable flywheel and clutch (i got the flywheel at autozone, and clutch kit from GM when i did my swap)
