Default V6 to a 5.3

Looking at a 05 RCSB V6 red w/t silverado. I know the 4.8 to 5.3 is simple and cheap but Im wondering how much more expensive the V6 to V8 swap will be. I already have the 5.3. The truck is only 6K and in brand new condition with 184K miles on it. Would it be worth it??

I spent around 1500 once it was all said and done. That was 4.8 and new clutch, belts, hoses, fluids ect. I did the a/c later at my work.

In this case it will take, V8, harness computer, engine to frame mounts, a/c lines and accumultor, throttle cables....if your truck is a 5 speed, you will need a clutch, otherwise a flywheel.

Done...and if you do more mods to the motor then just a tune.

If you really wanna go for it make sure you buy everything, and then some. I seen a few 6-8 swaps online, and it looks pretty involved for something that just bolts in. I probily could get in done in a week with just me messing around by myself.

The electronics are bolt in too.

GMC did good by keeping truck, and engine electrical sperated. Just lay stuff out before you start plugging it all in.
