Upgraded Servos in my 4X4???
#1
I have a cam and bolt-ons 06 Silverado ECSSB 4X4...I tow a bass boat and an occasional camper with this truck. I have it shifting at 6k rpms wot, and the 1-2 shift is very slow compared to the truck I was driving which had servos in it. I was about to order some servos for this 4x4, but my dad stopped me and said I shouldn't do it. He says the extra shock of the shifts will be damaging on the transfer case and other 4 wheeldrive parts, and I'll have to replace them sooner, which will be expensive? Does he have any truth to his myth, or will corvette 2nd and billet forth servos be fine in truck?

Yes, not to worry, if the shifts firmness increased that much, even 2wd guys would have to worry about blowing out their u-joints and rear diffs. Go with the Corvette servo and Billet and you'll be fine...
PM me if you're interested in buying a new Corvette servo that I bought and didn't have a chance to install before my trans blew up. I also have 2 Sonnax pinless aluminum accumulator pistons that were going into the same trans. The stock pistons are plastic and prone to cracking and leaking fluid/pressure.
