The guy does a lot of work for the Barrett-Jackson showroom that's right around the corner. He built my trans the first time two and a half years ago, and he's got a lot of nice older cars around the shop, so I am confident he'll be there. He and one other guy own the shop.

that's good to know, as his warranty is only as good as he stays in business.
Well, good deal bro! I hope that tranny holds everything you through at it and then some

The decision is made already. He ordered parts yesterday and I should have the truck back tomorrow. He is keeping my Vette servo in case I don't like the billet one, and will change it back out. What is wrong with the billet servo?

$10 says it doesnt last 1/2 as long as the original stock one.Should have taken my suggestion and went with the $1k 3 mi. take out4L65E, Installed the vette servo and been done, could have added the trango for extra Ins.It would have out lasted the original by a long shot.

Billet servos are notorious for banging/putting too much pressure on the apply band and cracking the drum. And it is a widely known fact that a wider band is not necessary at all other performance trans run a narrower band than the 60e family all the time. But if he is willing to warranty it and when you break it to pull it out and put oyu a new one in there then you cant beat that IMO. Just sucks cause you WILL be without a truck. Its just my opinion that a call to a tow truck driver is in your future when is anybodies guess. I dont know. I have everything that guy is putting in your trans in mine except for the billet servo I have a vette and I have a stock width band in mine. So far it has held up well to towing ****, offroading, about 500hp at the crank and lots of racing but I think even it has its days numbered. Do what you must but you got a good deal on the trans that IMO is awesome cause me personally Im tired of wrenching on my truck.
