Default unknown spring in trans

ok i put the vette servo, pin, and 4th gear servo in my 4l60e. then i took the pan off to change the filter and i pulled the seperator plate to drill the holes in it. when i put it together i couldn't remember where a spring went. i think it went on top of the seperator plate and under the forward accumilator. it the only place i could see where it looked like it went. there was a half circle of wear on the plate that matched the size of the spring.

so did i put it in the right place? its been driving fine it seems (knock on wood) but i was just watching trucks on tv and i didn't see them take it out or put it back. but i could see the same wear patern on the plate. i got a 3000-4000 pound load i'm about to pull from maine to arkansas so i need to make sure i did this right.

theres alot of springs in transmissions lol

mostly all different shapes and sizes if it was about 1.5" in diameter that was most likely an accumulator spring

yeah it was about that size and i think white. and like i said it fit the pattern on top of the seperator plate. i know it poped out when i took all that apart but i couldn't remember if it went on top of the seperator plate or unde it.

White went under the plate if not mistaken. I'll check when I get home this evening. The ATSG manual says to install the 1-2 & 3-4 accumulator pistons so that the legs point toward the separator plate. I don't remember which springs went where, but the manual has a chart for color coded springs.
