Default Converter Swap-again.

OK I'm tweaking on this one!!

Or wrench more likely.
Thanks to Dave@Yank we are now installing a new (modded) TT3000 torque converter. Hopefully this will take care of my stall speed issues!

Also gonna have Rick log some street launches when the converter swap is complete and see if there's anything going on there and adjust if possible. I sure would like to see .4-.6 seconds knocked off my times.

Well the swap is complete. Rick took some time on the street and did a little fine tuning for me too! Shifting is phenomenol. partial throttle and WOT Shift points were adjusted and a few degrees of timing added across the band.

The only thing i am concerned with is for some reason I cant seem to get the rear wheels to break loose now? When the stall was hitting at 2600 i could spin 'em good, now it stalls to 3000 but wont break traction?? What's up with this? After driving 20 miles the tranny was 1/2 qt. low and after another 30 miles it drank another 1/2 qt. Seem normal after a converter swap with a large tranny cooler in line? I'll keep my eye on it.

Driving home had a Riced out Lancer come along side at 70mph, when i hit it I dropped into 2nd and launched, lancer trailing! By the time i hit 3rd and looked at my speed......well lets just say it would have been an easy misdemeanor

No ideas?
Could it be I have a lot of air in the lines? I checked the fluid level again this morning after a 5 mile trip to work and it was at the 'cold' level.

You guys are a real help today!
Found out that the new TC has a lower STR, .25 lower. Could that be the problem?
