Boy I hope you're right! Guess it's time to get the good parts and rebuild it to take the abuse. How would I know if the tc is ok?

Default RIP 4L60E trns

I'm having it rebuilt here by a local racer. He says he can put it together so it can take my extra hp. I got the trans down today. The converter seems to be ok, don't know about the trans thou. Here are some pic's. PEACE OUT>Tony

Man i feel your pain, i currently have the SAME problem, and i am going to finish pulling my trans out tonight. I just did my 6.0 swap and the thing started, i was so happy. Went to put the thing in gear, and nothing....Good luck to you, hopefully nothing will be broke. I'm praying for that with mine right now. Or else its going to be a very expensive lesson for me as well.

You probably broke the pump just like I did. I'm taking the trans over to the builder tomorrow to see how much is the damage. Hopefully it may just be the pump. Here is a list of parts that I will use to beef up my trans. PEACE OUT>Tony
In addition to the pump.
Reinforced input drum w / cryo
4L70e reaction shaft with cryo
beast sun gear shell
Use bw high energy clutches. Cheaper than the blues and hold up to daily use much better and hold REALLY well.
Bonded pistons if you don't have them already.
Transgo HD2 kit for the 4l60e
Reinforced 4L70 sprag.
Billet 4th servo
Corvette servo
Raybestos powerband
That's all you should need. I know it doesn't sound like much but that's it.
One other thing. If you have troubles with weird shifting when you really start pushing it, you'll have to go with a modulator to replace the stock Pressure control solenoid.
Now. If you go over 500HP, you'll need a billet output shaft and input shaft. Keep it at 500-510HP.
You do NOT need 5 pinion planetaries.

I'm going to pick my trans back up in about an hour, i just bought a new pump rotor kit... I have not heard anything from the trans builder, so im guessing the pump is ok. I think the new pump rotor kit was like $30.

Got the trans over to the builder today. Good news is the converter is ok but the pump is definately shot. I'll be ordering the parts I listed asap. PEACE OUT>Tony
