They dont actualy lock. It is a limited slip diff, so their is no noise. It operates the same as a Torsen.

I talked to him again about this... I am not even sure if it's the True Trac afterall...

he said that this unit actuall goes into the stock carrier and replaces the spider gears with a unit that can lock up the stock limited slip w/o clutches....?

anybody have more info on this??

Sounds like a lock-rite or a e-z locker to me. I would stay away from it then, they are not very strong at all.

If it is a TrueTrac locker I would say go for it, I love mine and have never had a single problem with it.
