Truck is going in for surgery tomorrow

Tru-cool is good too, I have two of those. The problem with the popular B&M is that it is not as big of surface area and it is deeper. I got two of the Tru-cool 22,000 GVW coolers, they have a higher surface area and are thinner than the B&M, although both Tru-cool and B&M are made by Long Manufacturing. I put fans on both of them, and even towing a 6000 lb trailer up hill for several miles under boost, my tranny temp never tops 210. Normal operating range is between 165 and 180.

I did it on mine for towing and because I live in AZ. Turning the fans on drops the temp by about 15 degrees or so. Try it without first, and if it's not doing the job then put a fan on later.

Heres mine should do the trick
my tranny cooler
I tow all the time and go offroad and it does a great jon without a fan but I will be putting two 10" fans on it just for a little extra. Tranny usually sits at 160 cruising hottest its gotten towing was 190 in stop and go city traffic.
