Default truck cab crackling under breaking

thought the body mounts were loose, so i tightened them up, even tho they were not loose at all.
a friend told me to remove the straps bolted between the cab and bed.
its just squeaking and creeking something aweful.
sounds like walking across an old suspension bridge when you break.
just started this.
breaks have been checked, and look brand new.
tighted the driveshaft as well.
bed bolts are tight.
thanks.

It's the door seals man. The body has flex in it. Mine does it too. Does it do it when you come to a complete stop and the suspension settles back down in the *** end?
My doors flex upon breaking or driving up or down off camber pavement. Like driveways. The door seals are actually making the noise on mine. I have to spray my door hinges once a month to keep them from popping when I brake or open my door. It's only the driver door.
Explain this noise more in depth, I may know what it is.
Is it only when the brake is applied and slowing to a stop?

yes, only braking, slowing to a stop. right before you stop actually, then haults.
sounds like cables fixing to bust.

Is this on the 2005 2500HD Silverado? How many miles are on it? You have 4 wheel disc brakes right?
If so, then your problem and my problem are not related. My 05' VHo Silverado's rear brakes are the shitty drum brakes. They make all kinds of racket.
Though, if I recall, my old 2000, 1500 ECSB Silverado that had disc brakes all the way around had that noise as well. It was coming from one of my rear calipers. It was actaully making a crunching scratching sound like you stated.
I found that it would also do it if you were at a dead stop and pump the brake pedal kind of hard. The rear calipers were causing the sound. I took them off and greased the slider pins and metal clips with synthetic brake grease. The sound went away after that.
Not sure if that is your problem, but all I can do is shoot you possibilities at this point.
Let us know what comes of your issue.

i stopped today with the doors open(passenger too of course) and the noise was still there, so i know its not the door seals.
its comming from under the truck. sounds like the body mounts, but they are tight.
gotta be the cab flexing, its a really scary sound.
feels like the truck is gonna break in half.
41K miles BTW

maybe hit the body mounts with a penetrating lube? or pull them one at a time and grease the mating surfaces, if it is the body mounts that should cure it

Don't know if you're still having the problem, but it's your body mount grounding/teather strap. My truck had the same problem. I ended up turning down the shoulder bolt and making a teflon bushing for it. Problem solved.

Mine did the exact same thing. I just ended up spray some WD-40 and tightening up the bolts. It solved the problem. The straps are located under the door, it is a "L" shapped bracket that attaches to the frame and cab.

Is there a fix for the door seals making noise/ creaking when the frame flexes?
Both sides do it. Though mine is an ext cab. That might be why, but is there a fix? I applied this GM door seal/ rubber silicone spray that the dealership gave me that the shop uses. It didn't help. It only keeps the seals from drying out actually.

YES!
i fixed it about a month back.
i undid it from the cab(vertical bolt), but the problem lies with the horizontal bolts.
used to be very annoying.
