Default Tru-Trac install...

Ill be swapping out my stock G80, for my tru-trac shortly and I've got everything figured out except one thing LOL... How the hell will the axles stay in?!?

The rear is a 03 Z71 3.73/G80... The G80 uses C clips, and this Detroit has me stumped

I know besides that, all I need is new ring gear bolts, gear lube and check backlash, re-shim if needed and go... Right? Gears are going back in, not disturbing the pinion...

Yep, re-use the c-clips. Then a spacer goes in between the axles and the cover to the access hole holds it all in.

Do you have to take out that snap ring to get in there?? I haven't taken it off yet to look... Just scratching my head like a monkey trying to open a rock

Yes, remove the snap ring. It will all become clear. Damn I have enough pictures to sell a shop manual

I didn't want to take that thing off and the guts start coming out... That'd be my luck lately.

To operate you have to get bloody
