Default Transmission upgrades with Radix

I'm days away from ordering my Radix and I want to make sure that I have taken everything into account. I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 4x4 with the 4L60E Transmission (I think) and was told to upgrade teh servo to a corvette or billet servo to help with slips. I seached this upgrade and ran into a whole slew of other upgrades that some deem necessary when going with FI. What other Transmission upgrades do you guys suggest? Or other upgrades in general with a Radix.

I'm not doing anything too elaborate... yet. I'm going to keep the stock 3.4 pulley on for a while (until i get sucked in) which hopefully will be a few years. I tow during the summer a 4K boat and my rig is lifted 6" with 33" tires and 4.56 rear end. Taking all of this into consideration will I need to do more tranny "upgrades" when i get the Radix? My truck will never see the drag strip (well, never say never, but you get the idea). I'm not looking into getting cams, pistions, rockers, valves or anything like that for a while; after i move into a bigger house.

Sorry for all the questions guys. I just want to make sure i got all my bases covered before i jump into the FI pool and realize i'm drowning.

At the very least, other than servo and Transgo HD2 shift kit I would recommend a large trans cooler, expecially if towing.

I just tossed my pretty much new trans and went with a fully built FLT level 5 for security, but I knew I would be upping the boost asap.

You should be ok for a while on the stock setup with a few minor trans mods mentioned.

Thanks for the heads up on the 4L65E. I investigate further into that and make sure, but it looks like parts are applicable to both 4L60E and 4L65E so that should make it easier. I'm looking into getting a Mag-Hytec Pan for more fluid and cooling. And i'm installing a Escalade Platinum Instrument Cluster w/Trans temp today.

Do you guys suggest the corvette servo or a billet servo? Is the shift kit compatible with non-stock servo's? Will a larger cooler fit behind the Intercooler, i'm looking into that but not until summer when i start towing?

My trans cooler is in front of but below the intercooler behind the two openings on my chrome bumper.

I would also replace the factory transmission cooler with a larger one. Get a transmission temp gauge and try to keep the trans. temp below 180 degrees especially when towing or running it hard.
I'm 99% sure that's not true. Unless he has a denali or SS then he has the 4l60e

i had a very good experince with FLT for my heavy h2 hummer that has turbo at 10psi

most major thing is transgo HD2 , sonix servo's or vette servo's i had experinced both and i can feel sonix servo's is lil bit better

cooling the transsmision is good thing to protect it . i run also 2 coolers one with fan which is located close to the transsmision case and the other is without fan which is in the front side

good luck and chuck at flt is the man

I'd recommend doing the Transgo vacuum modulator kit if you're going to run a blower. It'll do more to save a stock tranny then a servo will.
