Transmission swap question
#1
Hi guys, long story short my transmission blew and i want to replace it with a manual transmission, if it's cost effective. I'm just wondering how much this would entail. It will be done by a qualified transmission shop. I'm guessing a rebuilt auto would be close to $2500, so that leave lots of room to the shop to do the swap in the same price range, or whether i'm justr dreaming and that there is no way it'll happen. I'm fine with putting int a junkyard refurbished gearbox, but i'd do a brand new clutch. What parts would i need? I would need to find a ECU froma standard truck right? THANKS GUYS, sorry for the long post.

P.S. I dont plan on racing the truck at the truck serious, manuals are just more fun to cruise/D.D.
