Just got my Trans rebuilt. Will be sending my torque converter it get checked out. Just curious what people are running in there street/strip Trans .

I guess it depends on what year vehicle it is. I'll buy the cheaper dexron3/merc fluid if it's an older transmission like 05 and before. Otherwise dexron 6 for newer, but you can run dexron 6 in anything now if you wanted.

MY 6L80e in my 14 I use dex6

 

The 4l80e is rated for dex 3? If so... shoot, I could have saved some $$!

 

The 4l80e was always designed for DexIII. Not that you can't use 6 but there is some debate about using 6 in the 4L series in performance builds.
