TRANSMISSION Code P0757 Today
#1
Hey guys,
set this code on the way to work. Check engine lite came on and I scanned it about 5 mins. later. Looked up the code : shift solenoid B stuck on. Now should I just reset the code and rock on, or will this be a long term problem? Found a table on GM service site WITH enable conditions but it doesn't give a solution. Any ideas? Thanks.

PO757 could mean the solenoid is stuck on , However its also a comon code set with high stall converters, This may not happen imediatley when the converter is installed in fact it may never happen or happen randomnly , Ussually after you turn the truck off after it set this code everything returns to normal and it may be a while before it sets again. The fact that is dosent set again imediatly would be the indication that this is the real reason for the code. Nothing is actually wrong just the PCM became confused due to the RPM differential caused by the converter. If it comes on every time you drive I would replace the solenoid , If its random and happens every once in a while the sure cure would be to have your Tuner remove the test for the code.

Ahhh, thank you sir. Just a little worried because I do get a lot of lock/unlock in the 45-50 mph zone between 2-3 shift when lugging thru stop and go traffic. I know it needs a fine tune but I don't want any hard parts getting damaged as a result. Thanks for the translation, I can read all day about this stuff but interpretation is still a little difficult when it comes to the tranny department.
BTW it's the first time I've got the code...
