Default transmissin help/info

here's the deal i will be part picking soon for my 5.3. i will be going turbo in the next months hopefully, well i been reading and asking around and alot an most people say get an 80e and run that because they hold up good under boost. well my ? is would it be worth it to buy a used one with 145k on it and rebuild or just buy one with lower miles. and for the price i see it listed as its one hell of a deal.

If the year is between 99-01 I would grab it. I like these years when I build these units because of the OD gear train and have seen less issues with them. I would recommend if you go with a boosted application to install a good flexplate perferrably a billet one. Recently I installed one on a TBSS from Circle D and it was a nice piece. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-plate-490476/
