Default Transgo Shift Kit for Towing?? Good or Bad??

I use my truck for pulling a boat and general driving. I was wondering if there is any real benifit to installing a Transgo Shift Kit or if I should just look at doing the Corvette Servo?

Thanks Everyone!

Tru Cool 40K cooler is much better money spent than on a shift kit, IMHO. Corvette servo is good too (esp. for $15), reduces slippage between gear changes and gives them a nice positive feel.

I am looking at Tru Cools Site but I dont see a "40K" model! Do either one of you two have a part number I can refer too? I know my truck has the towing package which included a Trans Cooler....I am assuming this just replaces that??

Tru Cool 4739. Yes, it replaces the stock cooler, it is much bigger and much better. Probably a 2 hour install if you take your time, 1 hour with a friend.

It's a 30 minute job or so if you use the brackets that "teesee150" sells from EAD performance. Makes it much easier and looks clean!

Larger cooler
corvette servo
sonnax .490 boost valve (drop the pan, easy to replace with snap ring pliers. cheap mod)
sonnax super hold 4th servo

All great things to do for a stock or mildly-modded truck and it'll really wake up that trans. If you get a tune at some point: I've heard that you should leave the transmission settings for tow/haul mode alone when installing parts that in themselves make the shifts harder. I think it's because T/H locks the torque converter early on and has more aggressive torque management settings during shifts to avoid damage (that is, of course, you tow with the truck at all).

Outside of T/H you should be good.

Not to jack your thread, but I just replaced my radiator with a 34" one it also has an oil cooler built into it, I still have a B&M Supercooler and was wondering should I run the oil through the B&M cooler after my regular radiator cooler?
