i have a 1999 gmc sierra, nbs. pulled my 4l60e and 5.3 for a lq4 and 4l80e 2 or 3 years back, stuck with the stock NP 246 and swaped input shafts, now the motor **** the bed and im pushing 320k miles on it, i was thinking of going to a 2500 hd NP 261 ( i think) and was wondering if there is any issues with the swap, ( drive shaft spline count front and rear) wiring, ive heard in my 99 the front d shaft always spins but a 2500 case lets it disconnect, any truth to thisand what do your guys recommend i do?? trucks a street/race truck with 450ish hp so wanna have somethin that will hold that and more to come.
