Default Transfer Case Input Shaft Needed for 80 swap

Does anyone know where I can get a larger input shaft for my Transfer Case? I have an '04 SSS AWD and have parts on order for an 80 swap. It's my understanding that the input shaft will need to be changed out to accommodate the larger output of the 80e. Thanks!

Randy C.

They are getting hard to come by for the AWD cases as they are a custom piece.

Doesn't PATC have one? Or maybe that was a smaller output...

PATC offers the smaller output shaft.

I'm looking at making the transfer case inputs from an upgraded material in 32 spline. I would need to know if there is enough interest to do so and what the most popular transfer cases are. The NV 149 is one.

I believe the 246 one is readily available.

I have a couple of the resplined outputs but I don't like to use them.

Did you ever make the input shaft for the 149?

The 246 can be had as a factory piece, and I agree I wouldn't want a turned down output either.

For reference for those who haven't seen the size difference.

This is a stock 65e output shaft sitting in a NVG149 input coupler that's been machined for the larger 80e output shaft.
