Default Transfer case clunk

I'm in the middle of changing the input shaft on my transfer case and I noticed that the clunk that it is making is not from the pump face. I did buy the upgraded pump face too, but this clunk is coming from something else. Is this normal?

I'm going off of beered up memory when I did the pump upgrade on mine. I think that sound is normal though.

I took the tranfercase to a local trasmission shop to get their opinion on this cluck in the video above. The tech twisted the output shaft while holding the input shaft, and said everything is normal and ok. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will not have this clucking issue when switching gears anymore. I will update this after I reinstall.

Sounds like good news.

BTW, if you removed your speed sensors, be sure you don't put them in too tight. They will rub on the gear teeth. Ask me how I know..... Sigh.....
