Default Transfer case clunk?

Sometimes when I reverse with a little throttle I hear/feel a big clunk from under the driver side floormat.
Normal?
I dont recall hearing it before lowering/new trans.

Mine has done that ever since i bought it. I was told that it was because of gm's need for so much backlash in the 4wd. I have hammered on my truck for years trying to break what has been making that noise. Still havent broke anything. Thats how i figure out whats wrong sometimes. Just turn the radio up and hammer on it till it breaks.

The clunk is definately coming from the driver side, U-joints are 12K miles, doubt they're gone yet.....But I will check both anyway!
Thx

A bad pinion angle can damage u-joints. I just changed my front u-joint because it was clunking when going from forward to reverse.

You going to Infineon this week?

I hope it's not the U-Joints but I dont get a clunk going from F to R, only when I put it in Rev with some throttle.

Weds night Drags, yup, I'm ready to run, good or bad!
