Default Trans Tune changes after 4L80E and stall swap?

So I had changed the gearing on the tune to match those of the 4L80E and also modified the shift points to compensate for the slightly higher gearing change (basically multiplied by 90-95% to lower them) ... although in hindsight, I may have to raise them due to the higher gearing?
Everything seemed to work with the stock convertor until I put the 3200 stall. Now it seems to have lockup issues and while sometimes I feel it coming on and off over and over on the highway, it basically doesn't in local traffic speeds. Maybe I should have either divided by 90% or just left the tables stock as is. I'm afraid I toasted the trans by the high temps due to it. I do have the Trucool 40k on it replacing the stock external cooler.

Yes I'm probably an idiot.

Anyone with a factory 4L80E in a Silverado/Sierra wanna share the TCM tune? The tunes I find online seem to be for vans and am not sure if it'll work or have a calibration that'll work. Maybe they will? Taking her by the shop to try a few things with the tune tomorrow ... fml

You did a segment swap correct? Start with stock shift tables and modify them to your liking. Just make sure the gear and tires size info is input correctly so everything works correctly. Who makes the stall converter and what are the specs on it. Have you changed the TCC Min and Max tables for apply?

You shouldn't try to do it by hand imo.

When I change anything related to shift point, I use the BlueCat software. It's never let me down.

No segment swap needed on mine (2009) just running the Frost Harness.

Convertor is from Greg the Convertor man, 3200 stall single disk.

I thought I messed with the lockup tables but I looked at my latest file and I think I reversed those changes as I wasn't sure how it'll work out. Only the shift tables were lowered, however I think they actually need to be increased due to the gearing now. Also the build code has me at 3.42 gears but the original tune I got from the guy has it at 3.73 ... dazed and confused right now.

Well today I took all the tables from a Van with 4L80E and and put them in my tune except a few. This definitely helped with the driveability and convertor lockup on highway speeds etc. However, I'm wondering if this issue is mechanical or a filter that clogs up over time until I shut down ... trans temps keep climbing in traffic and even when I park and idle, they keep climbing ... if I shut the truck off, wait a few seconds and then re-start, the temps start dropping as if flow through the cooler was restored to full flow or something... gonna have to get a filter/gasket kit before I check on that.

latest trans tune attatched

Mod list in my sig. 4L80E swap done using a Frost harness and 3200 stall from Gregory the Converterman. Everything seemed to be fine with temps only reaching 180 or so max with the stock converter. put this converter in a few weeks ago and haven't driven much and haven't really kept an eye on temps either. Temps hover around 190-210 on the highway and crept up to 230 or so today after this tune was pushed.

when it first occurred, it went as high as 275 when the dash message appeared asking me to pull over and idle engine ... temps never went down until I shut the engine down and re-started and then drove off. The fluid is def brown and smells burned, hope there's no serious damage. May have to start looking into a rebuild if what I find in the trans pan isn't healthy

Well we may have figured it out? seems like it may be holding two gears due to a stuck valve/solenoid? I noticed sometimes when coming to a stock, it would really feel like something is dragging and then if I didn't put it N and took off, I'd have to rev a little higher to get going. That would kinda explain the excessive heat. Need to pull the pan first and see what we find, and then probably pull the trans itself and get it rebuilt. Trans may not take that long but can't really afford the down time for sending the converter back out to get refreshed ... may put the stock converter back in or a stock replacement unit with a higher stall for cheap. It's winter and I need a ride; not a stall, hah
