Default 4x4 experts help

Ive posted these questions all over with zero help my truck was lowered, now its lifted Anyhow, I ditched the t56 project and sold everything. Id like to switch to a nv4500 and manual t case. Heres my questions,

Which nv4500 do i need?
What tcase is a direct bolt up?
This is an 08, I think the vss is in the case so I need a manual case with it?
Is there another option, such as a nv3500 t case combo?
Any and all help is apreciated!

I know I'm not going to be alot of help here but are you fully decided on the NV4500?
I am eventually planning on a ZF6 to replace my NV3500 because its so loud.

Also have you seen the thread where the guy swapped the ZF6 into his Avalanche?

The ZF6 is much heavier than the NV4500 and will def require a lift since the 2500 frame rails are 2 inches taller. I am not sure if the 4500 will. I am not sure you will get anything more out of six gears. I do know the early NV4500 have lower gearing than those used in the later model trucks. Anything 32 spline 6 bolt gm tcase should fit. A popular one is the NP6 manual shift case. There are automatic shift, manual shift, and awd tcases available for the nv4500.

you said something about t56. there is a t56 4wd tranny kit out there. i looked into it and it was like 6000 for the tranny and i didnt really feel like i trusted the guy so i bailed out on it.

What would be fantastic is if the nv4500 is the same length w a tcase as the 4l60e but I dont think Im going to get that lucky!

I dont know about the length, but I do know that you want a 241C 32 spline from an 88+ truck. Get one with 2 speed sensors. Cant help beyond that. Good luck!
