Default Trans issue or something else..

I'm starting to think buying a truck that has sat for 2 years was a bad idea.

So i have lowered my truck like 2/5 with springs and shackles/hangers/!helper leaf.

When I shift from park to reverse, I get this loud pop/bang from the rear of the truck. It also wont move in gear off idle with no gas being applied. When i put the truck in drive it will sit there completely still, no brakes, until I give it some gas.

Now it has new brakes in the rear and the pads seemed real tight on the discs, could that be holding me up or is the trans or rear end toast?

The brakes could be holding you up if there stuck.

You also need to check your pinion angle since you lowered it. If the pinion angle is off, it could also cause similar problems.
