Default Trans-go 1-2 Accumilator Spring Color Code?

Trying to troubleshoot a harsh 1-2 in a 4l60e with trans-go kit.

Pulled the 1-2 Accumulator washers and its better but want to play with springs now.

There are white, red and plain metal colored springs. Which ones do what to firmness?

There is a Corvette servo installed also.

Are you talking about the 1-2 accumulator valve and sleeve or the 1-2 accumulator piston? I believe for the valve and sleeve the firmer springs will shift softer and the 1-2 accumulator piston springs the heavier the harder it will shift. Also which kit are you using? Vince

Thanks Vince,

The 1-2 accumulator piston. We have the transgo HD-2 kit and a Vette servo with the Red spring and no washers.
We have been in and out of the shop with this one and finally have it shifting great now but for an occasional part throttle bumping 1-2. The throttle position scenario is hard to make repeat because of its small window but none the less it has to go.
Another funny thing is when it does it the following 2-3 is kind of weird. Kind of rougher than the normal 2-3 shift.

So you are saying that you have a red spring in the accumulator housing? The one with three bolts? There are normally two springs in this housing that bolts to the case. A blue one between housing and the piston. Then an orange one between the piston and the separator plate. In some cases guys will reinstall the factory springs in this housing. Also if the accumulator valve is sticking in the sleeve weird things can happen as well. Might be a couple of things to look at. Also how large of a feed hole are you running in the separator plate? In a truck application I do not recommend more than .083. Some times less if a high stall converter is not being used. Vince
