Default trans fluid and trans temp ?

hey guys had a quick question for some of ya trans experts lol, my trans is nothin special, just a L60E with a street strip setup shift kit and a vette servo...my question is i was gonna run a synthetic, i was gonna get the TCI max shift since ive heard its one of the best fluids out there to run...then i kinda realized my boss is a dealer for AMSoil...so i thought hm mabey try out their synthetic? im your eyes what would be better? the tci max shift or the amsoil syth?

also i recently installed a tranny temp guage...my question was whats normal operating temp and whats hot? highest mine got up to was about 165-170 degrees

I have no faith in synthetic trans fluid. I use the wal-mart "supertech" brand that is $9 a gallon, never had any problems with my 60e in my 600hp crew cab or in any other vehicles I've use it in.

Personally, i like the Wal-Mart Supertech Dex VI it's a lot cheaper than name brand dex VI and it's has to meet certain specs in order to be called a Dex VI.

My trans likes to hover between 150-160 with the Tru-Cool 40k AND thermal bypass.

I used the walmart stuff too. Fluid has to meet a certain spec no matter what it is. Never had a problem.

Interesting on the Walmart stuff. I was going to run Royal Purple with my new trans since all you ever do is change only the 2 quarts in the pan at filter time.

I have used B&M trick shift for years now, never had a problem really, and it looks cool.
