Scooter K, I put mine where it is based on Joe's recommendation. Like everything, you try it one place and if you do not get the desired results you move it....

Yeah he just told me my IAT temps with trans cooler in front will probably push 200. I'm moving it somewhere else. Don't know where yet?

Ive never looked at a new truck like yours, but here is what mine looks like for you to compare too..

Here is my Tru Cool 40 and a Magnacharger HX..
My IATs stay about 10* above ambient with my Water/Air Intercooler setup on my Turbo.

Ive heard of alot of guys try using the Fans on the coolers and it didnt help any..
Just make it work out front and you will be good.

I towed a trailer from Crystal Springs, MS to Louisville, KY this weekend and my trans temps never got over 130*. IATs stayed about 20* above ambient while staying at low boost majoirty of the time. and only crept up to 30* over ambient on long hills where it reached 6psi boost. But it cooled down faster than it rose.

My heat exhanger is about the same thickness as trans cooler and width but height is double so the only place it can go is in front of condensor. I may be able to mount trans cooler between frame rails behind bumper valance

I need to figure out how to vent my valence since it doesn't have any holes through it like a GMC does.

Just went out and looked at it and it will fit behind bumper no problem but won't have any airflow. If I had the new 09 bumper with slot in front it would work perfect.

I have a main round tube that the front plastic skid plate mounts too. I was thinking about mounting it to there and then to bumper. It would sit at an angle and slop down towards back side of it. There is a rubber piece in there that attaches to backside of bumper and then to underside of radiator support. What happens if I mounted it where I said and then route the rubber piece under the trans cooler. I'm assuming it is just there to help seal the front side of radiator and condensor off so all the air is forced through there and not around it. Of course though if rubber was around backside the air would have no where to go. What if I just took rubber piece off. Air would have to be forced through there I would think. I'll try and take a picture of it holding it up there so you can see.
