Trans bolt problem

Default Trans bolt problem

hey guys im having an issue with one trans to engine bolt.... one of the bolts right next to the oil drain plug keeps pulling out threds when i try to tighten it.... all the other bolts went in fine and the trans is flush with the engine..... do you think it will be ok or should i try to fix it

If a quick tap will fix it then might as well do it right. BUT, I dont think 1 bolt is going to make a difference. There was a guy on here last week talking about how he was driving around with only 3 tranny bolts in, and he was beating on it.

I dont think you need to worry.

Try running a thread chaser into the hole. When I did my motor swap the crank kept eating crank pulley bolts I thought I was screwed and would have to replace the crank. Bought a chaser from Ace Hardware and ran it through a few times, cleaned the hole out, and the bolt went right in no problem.
